Hello Friends and Supporters,
It is official – I am now your state senator for District 49! Thanks to the few people who were able to join Asheville Mayor Esther Manheimer, my mother, and me for a necessarily small swearing in ceremony at Pack Square Park. I would love to have invited you all, but Covid mandates dictated otherwise. I very much appreciate Esther issuing me the oath of office.
The ceremonial swearing in at the legislature in Raleigh is Wednesday at noon. That ceremony will be live streamed by UNC TV and you can watch it here.
I also want to provide you my legislative contact information. Due to legislative ethical constraints, I cannot provide them to you here directly, but I invite you to go to the General Assembly’s website where you can look me up and see how to contact me. I hope to launch a legislative newsletter soon and will let you know how to sign up for that if it is different than this list.
